I have a small workshop in mid coast Maine, where I have been producing original artwork since 1997. All pieces are hand made, one at a time, with no production "runs" , which means it will always be unique. The emphasis is on quality craftsmanship, and the goal is to build pieces desireable enough to be used and enjoyed every day, and durable enough to survive as tomorrow's antiques. Wood selected as material for artwork comes from my collection, most of which comes from Maine. Highly figured maple is my favorite wood. Deep curls or birdseye's always catch my eye. No one really knows why the trees grow this way, or which trees may have these features. Good pieces are becoming harder to find. I've found some of the best wood right here in the state.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE ?

Use your imagination ! Any idea for joinery, carving, intarsia, inlay or engraving will be considered. Specific requirements are encouraged and estimates are free. The pieces shown in this website are mostly examples of art that has already been produced and sold, and do not exist as catalogue items from which to order. Instead, use them to imagine what you would like for YOUR original piece.

Please contact the shop, to inquire about items currently available, commission a piece made to your preferences, ask a question, or just to say hello.

Pricing Information

Putting a price on artwork is one of the most difficult thing to do, especially for me , the artist trying to price his own work. So let's keep it simple. Estimates remain free of charge. All work done on commission will priced by time of my labor and cost of materials. ( If you commission me to work for you, that means I am making something specificly for you, to your specifications, and will require a deposit.

Items of my own that are currently for sale, will be priced fairly , and posted clearly on this site.

I Guarantee my work will meet with your satisfaction

I have not yet upset a customer over quality, pricing, service, or schedule. I don't intend to break that record with you. References are available on request.

I accept personal checks, if you don't mind waiting for them to clear. Of course I also accept cash, money orders, or bank checks. If you prefer to use a credit card I do have a secure online payment account with PayPal.

Thanks for visiting!
